Hi, I bought two mtn 1550g modems that is sold for N5,500 at mtn office. It works perfectly but I noticed that when I use the modem my Internet explorer does not browse.

So I decided to check from Internet Explorer--->Tools--->Internet options----->Connection tab then just below it I did not see my mtn modem displayed like other Networks Zain,Glo etc.  it was empty. Normally it should be displayed there.

Then I decided to check out my mtn modem properties and read that its actually a Huawie 3G Network Card instead of the normal 3G usb Modem that we all know.


My question is those of you that use this modem that experience this, how did you configure your Internet explorer to browse and your messenger to connect using IWP?

I know once your internet explorer does not browse yahoo messenger will not connect even though your firefox browses note am using this mtn modem with IWP 

Even Though I click add or create new setup, I will have two MTN dailup setup in my Network connections one I created through Internet explorer and the other that Mtn modem install by itself.

How do I make it one Modem not two modems? Has anyone experienced this on their E1550g mtn modem before?

Using iwp? If i subscribe for mtn boundle thats no problem, take a screenshot of your network connections n upload here if you r using win7 using IWP on mtn.

Yea, I got a mail from IWP that IWP v3.3 will soon be out and that it will support non http etc websites like Utorrent but how come its just MTN we can use IWP, I wish we could use IWP on Glo, Etisalat and Zain just to reduce the suffering on MTN
