How to make Egg float on water

Ordinarily Eggs do not float on water. They sink. This is because the density of egg (1.031 g/cm3) is greater than that of water (≈ 1g/cm3). Objects will float in water if their density is less than 1 g/mL. Objects will sink in water if their density is greater than 1 g/mL.
Adding salt to water increases the water’s density thereby making the egg float on it.

Materials
Egg
Salt
Water
Drinking Glass

Instructions
1. Fill a tall drinking glass about 3/4 full of water.
2. Place the egg into the glass of watch and watch it sink.
3. Fill another tall drinking glass about 3/4 full of water.
4. Add 3 Tablespoons of Salt and stir until combined.
5. Place the egg into the glass and watch it float.
