Irrespective of the religion you belong to or the God you serve, you will agree with me that there is no God who condone ungratefulness. As a matter of fact, God blesses us more when we show our gratitude for the past things he has done for us. Then how do we think we humans will accept ungratefulness when God himself hates it?.
The political overture in Edo state today have been misinterpreted by those who are in support of the outgoing incumbent governor as a situation of godfatherism. The governor and his co-travellers wants us to believe that Com. Adams oshiomole is against him because he did not share money or obeyed his instructions; however, this is not the case.
The matter in Edo state today is a pure case of ungratefulness and not godfatherism. There is no man on earth who does not have a godfather, whether physical or spiritual one. If you think you don't have a godfather then check your CV, those referees you put there are your godfathers. They are the ones who will stand as surety for you to get the job you seek and also bail you out of trouble if the need arises. Isn't that why you put them on your CV?
Please tell me who ever became a leader in this country or anywhere in the world without a godfather or even godfathers, then I will show you an 85 years old grandmother who is still a virgin!.
Let not be hypocrites, Gov. Godwin Obaseki problems with the APC is self inflicted and has nothing to do with godfatherism. Funny enough those clapping for the governor when he was insulting oshiomole have all deserted him just as they deserted Ambode when the time for reckoning came. While the few who are still with him are wailing 'godfatherism'.
The questions left unanswered by obaseki and his co-travellers include; Was it godfatherism that made him not to carry his party members along? Was it godfatherism that made him not to open the two hospitals built by oshiomole till date? Was it godfatherism that made him to illegally inaugurate the Edo 7th assembly at night with some of the honorable members wearing boxers? Was it godfatherism that made him to threatened to arrest oshiomole and insult him severally on television? Did godfatherism stop him from receiving or using his monthly federal allocation totaling #150 billion from 2016 till date? Was it godfatherism that made him to spend 1billion naira to fight covid-19 in just one month?
These questions are begging for answers, so instead of using godfatherism to divert attention, l will rather advise the outgoing incumbent governor to seek peace with God and apologize to those he was ungrateful to during his retirement.
Mind you, oshiomole recent support for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is a way to show is gratitude to a man who made him governor for eight years. True progressives like oshiomole understands that gratefulness is a sure way to gratefulness and peace both in this world and the afterlife.

May be you need to tell us why Oshiomole ask the partly members to forgive him lately and pledged to abide with the collective decision of the party...he pleaded that all pending court cases be withdrawn.. But what happened when the governors forum demand that Obaseki and akeredolu be presented for a second term.. Oshiomole played pranks thinking he was wise ....everyone knows he doesn't forgive... Especially on the orders if Tinubu... The Apc governors suddenly are inconsequential in decision making of the Party abi....Oshiomole is dancing naked now and you're crying here...his hands are tied now by the appeal court... His Tinubu appointed deputy in on sickbed.... I was laughing last night when oshiomole was talking about the New acting chairman Giedom recognized by the court... That Giedom should fear God...I say .oshiomole are you kidding me? Do you know God when you talk recklessly and carelessly? Anyway go and sleep brother ....APC may not have a legitimate candidate in edo primaries... Obaseki is not your problem oshiomole is...and has been tamed by the appeal court....

Don't worry, after the primaries, issues will be around Obaseki vs Ize-Iyamu
Political patronage (loyalty) won't cut it by them. That's between you folks as party members not ordinary citizens in the state like myself.
At least both have held sensitive positions in governance of Edo State.
Both are Bini men.
We would compare their antecedents, achievements and aptitude.
By that time, issues won't be around Oshiomole anymore (even waiting to see how he will campaign for him).

Obaseki isn't the best Edo has had, he may not have the magic wand to solve all of Edo's problems, but he is leading Edo on the path of progress. We can only go forward, not backward.
Perhaps if Oshiomole was projecting someone with less baggage and more of an industrialist, he would have appealed to people's emotions more.
Just watch how he'll make a mockery of himself in Edo.
I mean, who cuts down a Vine just to reap a fruit?
