Tiwa Savage and Simi are two notable Nigerian Artists, with huge success and fans base across Africa.

But the debate as always been, who has a better between Tiwa and Simi? Both Artists are known for their own unique kind of songs and genre, but the only similar trait they shared his their voice, as they are world’s apart in lifestyle and personality!

TIWA SAVAGE

Tiwa Savage is a popular Nigerian Singer, Songwriter and Actress with a huge fan base. She began her professional music career as a backup vocals for big artists like Mary J. Blige and George Michael.

Tiwa signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009, after participating in the UK edition of the X factor and graduating from Berklee College of Music.

Tiwa Savage was inspired by the growth of Nigeria music industry and she moved back to Nigeria and signed with Mavin Records in 2012.

In 2018, Tiwa won Best African Act at the 2018 MTC Europe Music Awards, becoming the first woman to win the category. In 2019, she announced her record deal with Universal Music Group, and exit from Mavin Records.

Tiwa sings in English and Yoruba; her music is a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, Pop and Hip-Hop. Her contributions to the Nigerian Music Industry has earned her several achievements and recognitions. She has been involved in the empowerment and breast cancer screening projects, and has raised funds to build schools in Nigeria.

Tiwa can hold her own, vocally, against any female singer out there. But Simi sings better. Niyola (only God knows where she is now though!) also has a better vocal texture than Tiwa.

Still, Tiwa is no pushover at all and has done awesome with her commercial style.
