TAKING DOWN THE 1999 CONSTITUTION BY CONSTITUTIONAL FORCE MAJEURE – WHO IS DOING IT?


We insist that this territory called Nigeria must become a wonderful, safe and progressing place. That starts with having a social contract, ie a Constitution made by “We the people” and legitimized by Referendum.

Who are we?

We describe ourselves below but YOU too must play your own adult part. By getting involved in creating a good land for yourself and for your children. You cannot leave this great task to others to do while you lie back and do nothing. You must keep yourself informed, plus inform your children and those under you. This is a call to UNIFIED and COLLECTIVE action!

1. The LOWER NIGER CONGRESS, made up of indigenes of the Lower Niger, (the Homeland of the ethnic nationaliities of the former Eastern and Mid-western Regions of Nigeria), involved in the mission of evolving a LOWER NIGER FEDERATION.

2. The FEDERATION OF OODUA PEOPLES, made up of indigenes of Oodua Land (the Homeland of the Yoruba ethnic nationality of the former Western Region of Nigeria,) involved in the mission of evolving an OODUA PEOPLES FEDERATION.

3. The MIDDLE BELT CONGRESS, made up of indigenes of the Middle Belt (the Homeland of the ethnic nationalities of the former Northern Region of Nigeria, excluding the Sharia territories) involved in the mission of evolving a MIDDLE-BELT FEDERATION.

Now collaborating under the aegis of MOVEMENT FOR NEW NIGERIA (MNN) in its quest to facilitate the reconstruction of the Nigerian Federation.
MNN joins the Convener of the Yoruba National Assembly Lt Gen. Alani Akinrinade (rtd) in asserting that:
“We cannot pretend to be running a democracy with a Master-Servant Constitutional arrangement imposed wholly by one side upon all by fiat, just like the Apartheid-Era Constitution of South Africa”. Tell Magazine Sept. 24, 2012. (9).
