The Greatest Story On Rape | The Biggest Secrets Why Men Rape by motivator7: 7:50pm On Jun 21, 2020
On December 16 2012, jyoti Singh, a 23-year-old physiotherapist intern living in New Delhi India, was headed home after watching the movie the life of pi with her boyfriend. They couldn’t find a taxi to take them home so they got on a bus. Six males were on board, including the driver. Then suddenly, in the moving bus, the lights went off. 23 year old jyoti Singh was raped repeatedly and her friend severely beaten. The men violated her with an iron rod and pulled out her intestines with their bare hands. After they were done they threw them out of the bus. Singh sustained severe damage to her abdomen and intestines and was airlifted to a hospital in Singapore for treatment, but died from her injuries nearly two weeks later.
Five of the rapist were convicted and sentenced to death.
The youngest, who was 17 years of age was sent to a reform facility for 3 years and later released. One of the rapist, the driver of the bus died in prison under mysterious circumstances. On March 20 2020, all 4 convicts were hanged.
You see, The sad reality is that 1 in 5 women will be a victim of sexual assault in their lifetime. When a woman is out late, wearing a skimpy clothing or seen drinking or partying, there are many who believe that she’s setting herself for rape. But in the case of jyoti Singh, these variables were absent. She wasn’t out very late, she was traveling with a male companion, she was a city girl who knew Delhi well, she was educated and she was modestly dressed. Yet she was still raped. I think that there is little focus on the rapist here. The truth is without getting to know the rapist one cannot fully understand rape. This video is my attempt to understand what goes through the mind of a rapist. Why do they do it? But before we look at the mindset of the rapist, let us do a brief background study on rape. What is rape? In law, rape is defined as vaginal or anal penetration in the absence of lawful consent. Rape is considered to have occurred when her consent has been obtained by Putting her in fear of death or hurt. The administration of any stupefying or unwholesome substance. Or, when the age of the victim is below 16 years. Furthermore, it is important to note that consent is invalid and rape is still considered to have occurred if the woman is suffering from unsoundness of mind so that she is unable to understand the nature and consequence of that to which she gives consent. There are 6 major type of rape. They include The penetrative rape. here the vagina is penetrated by the penis, finger or any other object. Statutory rape here no penetration takes place, but the penis touches the vagina. Marital rape. when rape occurs within the marriage Date rape. This is when an intoxicating agent is mixed in the food or drink of the victim. Gang rape.when more than one person rapes the victim. Male rape.when man or man rape takes place. There are basically two kinds of rapist
The generalist and the specialist
The generalist are the ones who can steal your television, your wrist watch, your car, and occasionally they steal sex. They are the ones that usually get caught and imprisoned
Then we have the specialist: these ones commit sexual assault predominantly, on multiple occasions. Most of the time they don’t get caught. They are the serial rapist, the ones in the neighborhood. There are 4 basic types of rapist. They are. The opportunistic rapist. these ones play on the vulnerability of women. Their intent for rape is immediate sexual gratification with force as a necessary ingredient. Anger rapist these ones are driven by extreme aggression and severe violence coupled with a history of previous anti social offenses. Sexual rapist. these ones are driven by intense sexual fantasies usually as a result of paraphilia. Finally we have the sadist: these ones are not particularly sexually driven but they are driven by power and control over their victims. There are so many reasons why men rape and each reason is particular to a case.
An extensive research conducted by the United Nations for a period of 2 years, involving 10,000 men from 6 countries highlights 5 major reasons
Neurobiological impairments.
Yes, rape may be associated with organic brain damage and learning disability. A research carried out in Sweden showed that 3.9% of the rape offenders were found to have serious head injuries.
Psychiatric disorders.
The truth is most rapist are not mentally disordered. However, people with schizophrenia or other related psychosis may often commit rape or show abnormal sexual behavior.
Paraphilia. paraphilia is a condition characterized by abnormal sexual desire, typically involving extreme or dangerous activities. The sexual rapist falls into this category.
Intimacy and attachment problems. several studies show that rapist experience multiple early life adversities such as sexual abuse and physical abuse which are likely to affect their capacities for secure attachment. That’s why most sexual offenders usually start at a young age.
Cognitive distortions or CD. these are belief systems or theories used by rape offenders to justify their rape behavior. Some of these believe systems are
Women are unknowable and cannot be understood.
Women are sex objects.
Entitlement mentality.
Revenge and payback.

The most pronounced similarities between various rape perpetuators have little to do with the race, class, or marital status of the individual.
Rape is a behavioral crime, it is not about the sex per se. it stems from the need to inflict violence on an individual and uses it as a substitute for the rapist’s inability to seek consent.
They’ve been a lot of things said about rape but one thing I can vividly say is that, men who attack women are usually following a well learned social script.
Rape is endemic and affects all levels of the society. Our social scripts needs to be changed or re-engineered. We need to flip the minds of the rapist.
Right now, it is particularly difficult to imagine a world where women can feel as safe as men do while walking in the streets, but it is up to us to pave the way towards such a world.

Nope it’s not one sided at all, and I acknowledge the fact that men get raped too (male rape). The title says why men rape? It is specific. Not one sided.
