During one of our naming ceremonies in church.our pastor decided to give a baby a new name apart from the one the parents did.this happened in the east. alas!! He named her keziah .if u were the parents would you accept.is there more to a name. Lalasticlala.if it happened during that your daughter's naming ceremony would you agree? |

Did Jesus Christ lay down any commandments regarding the naming of a child? NO. Did God command a ceremony as far as giving your child a name? NO Did Jesus Christ give anyone authority over you here on earth, even as far as the naming of your child? The answer is again NO So @ OP, ask the parents why they chose to give authority to the man who added a name to their list. |

In Bible parent gave names but in this world where people kidnap children to groom, name/naming appears to be of secondary importance |
