The life cycle of average modern human is relatively convenient. As soon as you’re born, you are completely dependent on others. You need your mom, dad, and the society for food, water, protection, clothing, and even movement. Shortly after that, you begin to learn. You’re enrolled in a school and all of a sudden, your life is filled with purpose. You need to get good grades and you’re not even slightly worried about life after retirement. The next stage of your life after school will be getting a job - another thing to keep you going. You’ll take courses, get certified, and send out your CV until you get something. When you eventually do, you become concerned with raising your kids and managing your finances. Eventually, the hands of time wind by and you’re sixty. At this point, it’s time to retire. Most of your kids have graduated, you’ve done your fair share in the labor market, and it’s time to kick back and relax. However, this can be scary because there’s not a lot of drive left. Sitting around all day, everyday doesn’t sound particularly nice to everyone. So, how do you make the most of your retirement? For starters, you can find a new purpose by volunteering. Your kids might be out of the house and your boss is no longer patting you on the back for every job well-done. However, there are still children who need to be fed.
