President Muhammadu Buhari has said “the law is on the side of Victor Giadom”, in his quest to become the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Buhari made his position known in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Wednesday evening.

The president explained that he has received “very convincing advice” and will hold a virtual meeting with Giadom tomorrow (Thursday).
“The President has received very convincing advice on the position of the law as far as the situation in the party is concerned and has determined that the law is on the side of Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman.

“Because he will always act in accordance with the law, the President will be attending the virtual meeting Giadom called for tomorrow afternoon.
“We urge the media to stop promoting manufactured controversies and to not give any further room for mischievous interpretations of the law on this matter.

“In addition to the President, the Giadom meeting will, hopefully, be attended by our Governors and the leaders of the National Assembly,” the statement read.

The current leadership crisis in APC started with the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as its National Chairman by an Appeal Court.

Giadom then declared himself as Oshiomhole’s replacement.

However, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) kicked against his move and appointed former Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi.

Giadom was then restrained from parading himself as the APC Deputy National Secretary by a Rivers State High Court.

Shame on all the legal giants in the APC especially VP Osinbajo, Fashola, Keyamo if a lawless Buhari is the one siding on the law this time around while they can offer legal advice.

That excuse buhari gave is just to conceal the real game plan. Powerful forces within the presidency and some governors who are suspecting that Oshiomole is going to work for Tinubu's presidency used the opportunity of this crisis to give Oshiomole a red card, and by extension Tinubu his coach has been also given a red card and sent to the stands. I'm sure Oshiomole, and all members loyal to him in the NWC are in shock right now. The next thing will be corruption prosecution from anti-graft agencies so they can keep him busy till he forgets he ever had a portfolio as an APC National chairman

If truth be told Giadom FC was d one on d side of law cos only him had an appeal court coloration to his claim. Recall d appeal court ratified d suspension of Oshiomole and d court also extended Giadom headship to d next 14 days and this NEC is taking place within this period.

The law on whose side. When the Majority are not with him. The cabals trying to use this great opportunity to clip the wings of the south against 2023. They are still thirsty for power. What they want is APC Slot:- President=>North, VP=>Southwest... PDP Slot:- President=> North, VP=> VP... They can now compensate the south-south (perhaps Amaechi) with Senate-President for his work in the struggle.Foolish Southerner politicians
