Comparison Between Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra And Iphone 11 Pro Max by Korlah14: 1:56pm On Jun 25, 2020 |
If you are in the market for a very good phone - like the best of the best, no matter the price and all, you might be having two options at the moment - the two giant phones of the moment - phones for the big guns and I am talking of the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra and the iPhone 11 pro max. However, as good as they both are, there also features a heavyweight amount - at the time of publishing, the Samsung s20 ultra is sold at $1,149 and the iPhone 11pro max is sold at $1,099. So, a lot of people find it a bit difficult to choose which to get at a particular time, but don't worry, our review and comparison of both got you covered. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra vs. iPhone 11 Pro Max: DISPLAY: Both phones have big and enormous displays, but the Samsung galaxy s20 ultra has the advantage with its 6.9-inch screen which is quite larger than the iPhone 11pro max contender which has a 6.5inch display. Both devices have the vibrant OLED display technology, so either screen is going to be absolutely beautiful; however, the Galaxy S20 Ultra has a higher resolution with 511 pixels per inch (PPI) compared to iPhone 11 Pro Max's 458 PPI. The Galaxy s20 ultra also has a 120HZ refresh rate ahead of the iPhone 11 pro max which has a 60HZ refresh rate, the refresh rate helps for smoother display motion. The feature becomes more important and obvious when you are running a game on the device. CAMERA: One of the obvious difference and upgrade of the iPhone 11 pro max from the earlier phones is the rear camera system of course (as seen above), The model moves up to a triple-camera setup on the rear—with a noticeably different external design that has been described as a "camera square." For the cameras themselves, Apple has introduced an ultra-wide camera to join the wide and telephoto cameras. The ultra-wide camera features a 120-degree field of view for taking expansive shots. All three cameras offer 12 megapixels, while key camera features include portrait lighting; dual optical image stabilization (on the wide and telephoto cameras); and night mode. The Galaxy S20 Ultra has more to offer on the rear camera system, as well. A key difference is that the Ultra's wide-angle camera provides a staggering 108 megapixels, for capturing the most intricate details. The telephoto lens on the Galaxy S20 Ultra offers 48 megapixels and the ultra-wide rear camera offers 12 megapixels, meanwhile. For fans of zooming, the S20 Ultra provides up to 100X zoom. Other camera features on the S20 Ultra include enhanced night mode capabilities for low-light situations, with the device automatically increasing sensitivity where needed in a shot to reduce blur. Whether you choose the Galaxy S20 Ultra or the iPhone 11 Pro Max, you're getting one of the two best camera phones money can buy. However, one of them has an edge. The spec sheet would have you believe it’s the Galaxy. Sure, the iPhone 11 Pro Max features three 12-MP sensors on the back, tied to wide, ultrawide, and 2x optical telephoto lenses. But the Galaxy S20 Plus sports a 108-MP primary wide lens; a 48-MP, 4x optical telephoto capable of 10x lossless hybrid zoom; a 12-MP ultrawide shooter; and a time-of-flight sensor for depth-measuring capabilities. In some cases, such as when you can take advantage of the S20 Ultra’s zoom capabilities, the results just speak for themselves. The iPhone 11 Pro Max's camera is good — very good. But it often has a preference for artificially warm images, and its purely digital zoom is no match for the S20 Ultra's software-aided optical zoom that delivers lossless quality at 10x. The iPhone 11 Pro Max still holds an advantage where portraits are concerned. While Apple's cameras muddied up my skin tone and lent a sepia-like cast to the frame, they also pulled out much more detail in my hair and the fabric of my scarf and jacket. The optimal portrait would combine the metering of the S20 Ultra's shot with the detailed exposure visible in the iPhone's. However, right now, those benefits don’t outweigh the glitches many have discovered within the S20 Ultra’s imaging stack. Samsung’s cutting-edge cameras happen to come with cutting-edge growing pains for now, like jumpy autofocus that takes too long to hone in on a subject, and a softness to portraits that is unexpectedly poor for such a sophisticated multi-lens module. The company is working on a software update to address these problems that is expected to arrive in the coming weeks, but until we see how it improves things, we cannot recommend the S20 Ultras on the basis of its camera. CONNECTIVITY AND PERFORMANCE: Wow, the Samsung s20 ultra has been enabled with 5G Capabilities. The device supports both sub-6GHz 5G connectivity and higher-speed, millimeter-wave 5G. The 5G connectivity in the S20 Ultra is enabled by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, which includes a 5G chipset, the Snapdragon X55 Modem-RF System. The Snapdragon 865 will also provide strong performance via an eight-core CPU with a clock speed of up to 2.84 GHz. However, the iPhone 11pro max and all other previous iPhones do not have the 5G capability at this time Here's one particular area where Samsung — and other Android phone makers — still have some serious catching up to do. The A13 Bionic chipset in the iPhone 11 Pro Max surpasses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset inside the Galaxy S20 Ultra, just like it beat phones powered by last year's Snapdragon 855 system-on-chip. Now, rest assured — the S20 Ultra, with its 12GB of RAM compared with the iPhone's 4GB, is no slouch. But Apple's still a step ahead of the Snapdragon contingent, judging from the benchmarks. For example, in Geekbench 5's multicore, systemwide test, the S20 Ultra delivered a score of 3,076, compared with the iPhone's 3,517. In GFXBench's Aztec Ruins high-tier off-screen graphics test, the S20 Ultra pulled a 1,319 result at 20.7 frames per second, compared with 1,657 at 25 fps for Apple's flagship. If maximum performance is a major priority for you, the iPhone might remain the answer. BATTERY LIFE AND STORAGE The Samsung galaxy s20 ultra features a significantly big battery of 5000mAh, while the iPhone 11 pro max features a battery of about 3969mAh. On storage level, the Samsung s20 ultra comes with a 128GB at the initial state and also has an internal storage option of up to about 512GB.... (That's a lot really). The device will also come with a microSD slot enabling up to 1 TB of additional storage. Buyers of the iPhone 11 Pro Max can choose between variants with 64 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of internal storage. ADDITIONAL FEATURES One feature that they both have in common that most business users admire is that both devices come with a dual sim - which provides business users with two mobile numbers on a phone. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 Ultra provides access to Samsung's DeX Android desktop, like on previous Galaxy devices. The device also includes a Network Storage option, so that corporate users can access their own servers when saving files (and avoid the use of third-party cloud services). In the My Files app on the Galaxy S20 devices, users can save either file onto an FTP server or save files onto a network drive. One key iPhone 11 Pro Max feature for business users is Apple's User Enrollment solution, introduced with iOS 13. The solution allows corporate workers to easily keep their personal data and business data separate on their iPhone, making bring-your-own-device a more-appealing prospect for many workers. Well, In the end, I won't decide for you, I have given you the comparison, so I want you to make your choice in the COMMENT SECTION DROP YOUR COMMENT BELOW FOR MORE PICTORIAL REPRESENTATION OF THE COMPARISON, KINDLY VISIT https://www.kolaoyewolesblog.com/2020/06/comparison-between-samsung-galaxy-s20.html
