JUNE 26, 2020: THE MISSION PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT (MSN) AND THE REBIRTH FOUNDATION SET TO FEED STREET KIDS, EMPOWER “SOME”.

Just two days to the end of the of the Neighbour for Neighbour Project, two groups of very young Nigerians have partnered to reach out to some homeless kids within the Uyo Capital City, particularly around the popular Ibom Plaza and Itam Junction. In their letter to our project directorate, the groups have indicated that their task will include:

1. To feed over 100 of the kids;
2. To sensitize them on the prevailing Covid 19 pandemic and the need to stay healthy;
3. To share face masks to over 100 of the kids and carefully advise them on why they need to use it and other safety measures they must take to stay safe.);
4. To make efforts, in partnership with other well meaning Akwa Ibom citizens and the government to relocate some of the kids;
5. To empower the most promising amongst them, either by sending them to school or helping the acquire some basic skill;

Their outing has been scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2020 and they call on the members of the Public of Public Affairs to join them in the reach out.

By this gesture, the MSM and the Rebirth Foindation becomes the newest Ambassadors of Public Affairs and partner in towards the ultimate attainment of an egalitarian society where everyone is doing well...with a reduced gap between the rich and the poor. We sincerely thank them for this offer and heartily welcome them to the Public Affairs Hall of Fame.
