Its not. It depends on your mind. You can close your eyes and your mind is wandering to a million and one other places which is wrong cos even with your eyes closed you're still not focused. While you can open your eyes and not even notice the next person beside you cos your mind is focused on God whom you are praying to.

So its all about the mind and our focus level and not the opening or closing of the eyes.

It doesn't matter. It's a spiritual exercise. It's the heart that counts. But closing the eyes helps you not to be distracted

Closing the eyes during prayers enables one to concentrate and minimize distractions.
Whether you close the eyes or your open the eyes, it is your heartfelt prayers to God that matters.

We close our eyes to avoid distractions. If you can be focus with your eyes open, no problem

There is absolutely nothing wrong with praying with your eyes wide open. We close eyes for concentration, but if you can concerntrade with your eyes open, its okay

Christian's will tell you your mind is your problem and you must shut off your mind.
So technically it's not a thing of the mind but of the spirit.

Man, how did we let religion create this much confusion in our lives.

How did jesus pray? Answer in Mathew 26:39 (NIV) - " Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
The operative words here are "with his face to the ground" i.e prostrated, which muslims do as well.

Prayer is talking to God, whether eyes are opened or not.

It's neither bad nor Good .... But closing ur Eyes while praying make's u less distracted and make's u more Focus and concentrated to ur MAKER™ °°°°°°

so it is advisable to always close ur Eye while praying ( although d Bible says WATCH AND PRAY )✌✌✌
