Wow! I also experienced something similar last month. I was in my kitchen when the lightning struck. I felt it in my right arm. I was standing close to the kitchen door. It was like an electric shock. It was very scary experience.

This is very serious. Any of your neighbors living in duplex house? If there are tall buildings or duplexes around you, please encourage the landlords to install lightening arrester on their roof top. It is very very important, it saves lives. It saves you from domestic accidents, particularly if you have poor electrical connection systems. It saves the community from unexplained deaths.
This Copper device (lightening arrestor) helps in attracting and evacuating any thunder within the vicinity. The high electric voltage associated with thunder will be dissipated deep under the earth.

Am still in shock with what happened to me and my wife this morning. The rain started around 4am this morn with lot of thunder and still raining right now.
While on bed my wife requested i help her with her phone which we normally put beside our bed on the rug, (we only use foam on the floor without the wooden bed) our two sons was sitting on the rug beside us.
Immediately i touched the phone their was thunder all over my hand through my chest and my leg and because my wife's body was in contact with mine the thunder struck her too, one of my son of 6 years and my wife saw the fire that run through our body and we all shouted Jesus name and i was able to drop the phone. The phone was not connected to charger and their was no light.All this happened within a seconds to God be all glory he saves our life from thunder. Nairalander help me thank God

Yes the house is mine 3 bedroom bungalow.
Truly their is no any earthing in the wiring system. I will do something about it thank you so much.

It has happened to me twice, that's why I don't use my phone whenever its raining peeps say I'm afraid but I don't want to risk my life again biko.

You are not supposed to do earthing by yourself.
You need both an Electrical Engineer and an Electrician to install an earthing system for you.
To the definition:
Earthing is a system whereby excess electric current is directed away from buildings and equipments into the general mass of the earth.
Safety 101:
Don't tinker with electricity by yourself!
