I don’t think we need to panic here, what he said was just a statement n new findings which is normal when it comes to virus.. This is the reason why viruses are not easy to cure with a single medication instead they use combine therapy.. So no need for panic, he just made clearer statement that many of us already knew or expected.

You cannot just get tested for any viral infection and start treatment immediately, it doesn’t work like that., when you get tested for any viral infection you’ll be asked for series of another tests to know the actual DNA or RNA of the that virus before treatment and the treatment will come in a combine form meaning several drugs and not a single drug.. Virus replicates and when they move they mutate over time.. So it’s simple.

we have a less aggressive strain of the virus here in Nigeria, it has gone almost round (esp in Lagos) and people have survived on their own.

Only if we want to deceive ourselves, this virus is not as serious as it seems in Africa.
Damn the transmission rate when the death rate is very low.

Our government needs to stop squandering and diverting funds in the name of isolation. Only those with severe cases should be admitted and treated.

All this local Plagiarism of Foreign Research must stop.

The only thing pointed out by John Hopkins research is that the Virus now has a stronger and better ability to attach itself more to its host.
This means we need to wash hand more, longer and agressively. It also means once it latches to the lungs, it is difficult to extricate.

The mutation has nothing to do with Nigeria, it was discovered in the USA.
This local Professor just watched it on foreign TV and decided to make some noise here. grin grin

The mutation is in the area of "attachment to a Host".
Those spiky tentacles on it, three of them is what mutated in a way that its skin is now thicker, it spikes are sharper and also longer

I ready the original paper from john Hopkins University and also watched it on the TV when it was announced and that is more than THREE DAYS AGO.

Nigeria no get medical plan for its population before now, so they better tell us what to use if anyone is having symptoms.
