On today's episode, the Pharaohs of Egypt await us as we explore the Pyramids of Egypt. Famed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Pyramids of Egypt stands tall in beauty, majesty and splendour. It showcases the glorious and rich heritage of Egypt.


Here are 7 interesting facts about the Pyramids of Egypt.

1. Egyptian pyramids were built to preserve tombs of Pharaohs.

2. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only surviving structure out of the famed Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

3. The Sphinx protect the pyramids. The Sphinx serves as the gateway to finding chambers within the great pyramids.

4. The weight of the building bricks, and how they were transported, is quite a mystery. The weight of bricks weighs more than an Elephant. Shocking, right?

5. Contrary to beliefs, the pyramids were not built by slaves but by paid workers.

6. The pyramids are all built to the west of the Nile River.

7. There is widespread belief that this served as a gigantic stairway by which the soul of the deceased Pharaoh could ascend to the Heavens.
