A sane government knows that church buildings really do not have any benefit aside where people worship. The only way church buildings can be opened in a pandemic of a communicable disease is if they are made isolation Centers.

People cannot do without food and money but people can do without church buildings.

The reason the markets are overcrowded yet again is the people making the choice to flout social distancing laws that are in place. There ignorance is not then sufficient reason to demand government remove all restrictions in place.

Remember something else, Nigerias healthcare system is still one where the patient is responsible for 100% of cost of care. So should any of those person's in the markets fall victim to Covid-19, that victim bears the cost.

That said, government can at least work on that which it controls and that is the businesses which it licenses in its attempts at continuing to manage or control the situation.
