There is no need for quantum computing usage here,no need to generate their log in through third party, dem no born am well make e no release his wallet details, y'all don't know the kind of mess this guys are facing, if he refuses then they'll give him another charge for endangering the investigation by withholding vital information on purpose at that rate he will never come out of jail cos there will be nothing like parole for him. If they didn't know about it then it would have been easier for him,but during the course of this investigation every single one of his scams will be unraveled and he must spill and work with them or he is a goner. they have leverage here,if they decide to keep him forever his home country (Nigeria) won't say anything. 9 Likes |

They don't need to torture him. They just need to add to his charges. If he releases the money, he gets 7-10 years but if he wants to play smart and claim that he has spent it all or hide it, then they slam multiple charges on him and he gets up to 30, 40 years. That's the FBI tactics. And once he is in jail, the rumor spreads quickly that he's hiding some money in a bitcoin wallet. Trust American prison gangs to prey on him in order to access that stash. All this is assuming he has not even left valuable clues to accessing the BTC wallet. I doubt this guy was using an offline, non custodial wallet. Most likely he was using a crypto company which would make it even easier to recover. If BTC can be recovered from Ross Albricht, who the Bleep is Woodberry? 9 Likes |

inoki247: Google Ross Albricht. He had over 400,000 BTC at the time of the arrest. FBI, DEA and Secret Service recovered it all. And he was a technically savvy inventor not some Gucci clad crooner who doesn't even understand how Bitcoin works. 8 Likes 1 Share |

martineverest:they don't even need to wait for quantum computing bros... this is an international crime, most of those bitcoin platforms are america owned.. if you store coins on blockchain, blockchain have your data... is just like normal network provider.. they cant divulge your data unless requested for....they can compromise your data... For examples there are some apps that can recover deleted files on phone... imagine that..so nothing is untraceable in technology |

Those of you saying Bitcoin can not be traced are making me to laugh! You basically have no idea how blockchain tech works! Bitcoin transactions are out there in the public for the average person with basic computer knowledge to access and trace. You pay a fee to miners to confirm your Bitcoin transaction so that everyone can see that a transaction existed. What is not 'easily known' is who has the money that is being moved as the money is attached to wallet addreses instead. This is why crypto exchanges force you to do KYC. This is also why they limit your withdrawals to a few million naira (Binance I dey eye you), all these are based on anti money laundering laws. You can try to use mixing services to confuse intending forensic investigators but the problem here is it is difficult to mix huge sums of bitcoins through mixers. Another major thing that can expose you is your ip address. Bitcoin addreses can be mapped to an ip address. You still think you are anonymous abi? VPN will not save you when these forensic investigators get on your matter! As for passwords to your wallet, there are devices that can be used to brute force Wood.berry' passwords, the strength of his password will determine how long it will take to gain access. It can range from 1 minute to months! They already have his fingerprints if there's need for that. If he's using a cold storage device like trezor, that one too can be hacked by the FBI with specialized equipment. If you still think otherwise, google criminals that were apprehended using bitcoin transactions. 10 Likes |
