Hello everyone ,my name is Muna and today I will be starting a wonderful series on the beautiful south east of Nigeria also known as igbo land.

There have been so many false stories about igbo land . Some people say that it's like a village (nollywood deception) while some people say that it does not have any tourist attraction and bla bla bla. Surprisingly, many of these people have not been to the south east before. Not every one will have the opportunity of visiting the south east. And that's why I will be showing you the different tourist attractions in the south east that you should visit to remove the deception. Today, we are going to start with the Azumini Blue River.


Azumini Blue River is located in Abia State, towards its boundary with Akwa lbom State. The River has become a popular resort for tourists because of the pleasantness it offers.

The attractive features of the River include its crystal-clear blue water, canoe rides, and sandy beaches with relaxation facilities like a BBQ grill. The Blue River can be arguably called the crown jewel of all tourist centres, as it is a rare kind. Little wonder Azumini people are proud to be associated with it.

The Azumini people believe that it was because of the peculiar nature of the river that their forefathers decided to settle in the present location called Azumini. Also complimenting the river is another site, where one can stand and enjoy a full glare of the beauty of the Azumini River, the Azumini Hill.

The hill provides a breath-taking view from the top to look down at the low-lying beautiful valley of Azumini.
