IgbereTV reports that the presidency has stated that the reason for the ongoing probe of the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu is to reinforce transparency and accountability.

A statement made available to IgbereTV by State House correspondents on Tuesday, reads:

“The panel investigating allegations against Ag. EFCC Chairman had been sitting for some weeks now.

“In consonance with the principle of fairness and justice, it was needful that the Ag. Chairman be given opportunity to respond to the allegations, which are weighty in nature."

“The investigation is to reinforce transparency and accountability, rather than to vitiate it.

“Accountability for our actions or inactions is an inalienable part of democracy.

“In such elevated position as that of EFCC Chairman, the holder of the position must be above suspicion.

“There’s no prejudgement. Absolutely none. The Buhari administration can be counted on to uphold fairness and justice at all times.”

Idiots! A whole Senate refused his confirmation because of clear issues of fraud and corruption leveled against him but the so called presidency bluntly refused and turned blind eyes to all those accusations, allowing him to remain in acting capacity illegally! Suddenly, 5 years down the line, he is not above questioning! After deliberately undermining institutions like the DSS and Senate, they come to yarn trash!

With the sustained unconfirmed status hanging over his head, he was most likely subject to intimidation with a constant threat or promise of non-confirmation or confirmation as the case may be, being dangled before him. Now, after doing all the dirty deals, the demonic presidency is suddenly fighting corruption! Una dey mad!

Zone Bs are confused and hiding. They don't know which camp to move to because they already vilified Saraki and the 8th Senate for deciding against the confirmation of Magu. They called him unprintable names for several years yet Baba Oloye was unperturbed.
