Already you know from Wikipedia's attitude on the topic as seen in shots attached. It takes courage to embark on what others have disembarked. This is why anyone, African bloggers/writers should read, contribute and support indigenous works like Wikiafripedia Learn more about Raymond_Hushpuppi World_Wide_Current_events Cheers . . PS. Most assuredly, I say to you: if Hushpuppi was an American or European, Wikipedia wouldn't have deleted his subject. There's a bit of a bias/impatienci on the later on articles concerning third-war countries/continents like ours. Take for example, the article concerning the Africa's Young Entrepreneurs (AYE) president which was deleted earlier this year (see shots) on grounds of failing their General Notability Guidelines (GNG). Who would have believed that the president of the largest entrepreneurial organization in the world—SUMMY SMART Francis, is not notable? But here at home, we watch this dude come on African Magic to moderate the AYE session, and with a few of his coverage on indigenous websites, although Not perfect, we decided to keep his article on Wikiafripedia for improvements, because we know that, perfection is like order, it is maintain NOT achieved. If your article isn't on Wikiafripedia, you can ask us to create it at the "Wikiafripedia:Article_for_creation" page, and anyone would help you within days, provided the topic is notable here at home/elsewhere. If your article was deleted on Wikipedia, you can revive it on Wikiafripedia under similar notability guidelines or submit it at "Wikiafripedia:Lazarus" and anyone would be Jesus within days. There are many instances the other wikis or encyclopedias have negatively retarded the growth of quality African contents on the web (instead of encourage it) that could be cited. You should checkout the South African: User:Keke_Zöe and her talk page on Wikipedia to see another example. To this light, we implore you to contribute to these (the aforementioned) and other articles on Wikiafripedia. We do not deny that we sometimes copy Wikipedia to removed red-links from our articles but we are ahead of it on certain indigenous contents like the "List of Nigerian states by GDP", "List of Nigerian billionaires by net worth" and others, which are more up-to-date on Wikiafripedia. Also, we have articles that you won't find on other general-purpose encyclopedias for now, such as: "SSSniper wolf"—the most successful female gamer on YouTube, "Jae"—A newbie in our music industry, "AYE" and others. Wikiafripedia would be relatively easier to understand as we gradually rollout the "this article/this section in a nutshell" template in all articles; Pidginpedia and Pidgintionary projects would also demystify certain technical articles on Wikiafripedia for a certain class of people in Africa. We choose the wikimedia websites theme to make it easier for those of you who are already used to contributing to Wikipedia edit-interface. And while Wikipedia is rank very high on most search engines for terms like "wiki", we are for "afripedia". Afripedia is a wikimedia project where Wikipedia is downloaded into USB for Africans (much like the defunct Microsoft encarta) because most Westerns believed many people in Africa don't have hardware-access to the internet, but we do. In reality, what we don't have access to is subscription to browse the web which they know. And 20years now no encyclopedias has taken that steps to cushion the cost of data for our students so they have real-time access to updated information in their subject of interest, yet Africa is in the 10 countries on internet usage and we donate to their nonprofits. However, be rest assured that we know about this mishap and Wikiafrimedia Foundation have it in mind pending when we have grown the muscles, we shall do the needful. A lot of things would get even better when we join hands to build our values for us/posterity and with time. Nelson Mandela often say: we CANNOT build our nation alone but #TogetherWeCan! If you would like a situation where you turn-on your data and head-on to an encyclopedia that has quality/detail articles on indigenous contents/happening (like Wikipedia is for the Americas and Europe), a great user-interface and one that could help cushion your data burden like the free.facebook (but an encyclopedia) in the near future: Let's read us. Let's contribute to us. Join us to make Wikiafripedia an Authority Site for information about Africa, its countries, people and cultures. WIKI IS STANDARDIZING ARTICLES ON AFRICA TO ACCURATELY DEPICTS ITS HISTORY AND THE PEOPLES CULTURE ON WIKIAFRIPEDIA BECAUSE #WikiLovesAfrica #DoYou? . . . PPSS. We are not against the wikimedia foundation, only wikipedia highhandedness on contents from third-war-worlds which prompted our existence. In fact, we make use of the foundation creatives such as commons which we also implore you to be part because, in the end, both the Wikiafrimedia/wikimedia Foundation envisioned a world where everyone can freely share with the sum of all knowledge. That's our vision, our vision statement. TOO LONG, DIDN'T READ? Save it and read a paragraph a day, after all, according to Moses, it took God six days (working at the speed of light) to create the world—don't be in a hurry, we're not.
