From rich cultural heritage to social empowering schemes, it is quite clear to see why a typical finn delights in telling the truth most of the time.

Being located in Nordic region of Europe, Finland runs a unitary parliamentary republic system of government, where the prime minister is regarded as the most powerful political head.

The Nordic country with a growing human population of 5.5m, is a top performer in numerous aspects of national performance including areas of education, economic competitiveness, civil liberty, quality of life and human development.

Also, having been rated high in welfare, the Finns absolutely value of honesty ensures the refund of lost property a norm.

In Helsinki, " Finland capital city ", often at times, when kids loose their mittens on open play grounds, people usually hung the lost mittens up on a tree, exposing the item for the owner to sight afar. This scenario, clearly entails the value Finns place on honesty, a virtue injected through moral and cultural integration from a tender age.

Also, in verifying claims of the Finns honesty, a group Know as " Reader Digest ", conducted a test known as " lost wallet test " where reporters lost 192 wallets in major cities across the world. Each wallet contained $50, contact information, family photo and a business photo for tracking reasons.
Undoubtedly, out of 12 wallets dropped at Helsinki, 11 of the items were successfuly returned and claimed, making Finland the world most honest country.

" Here, people always tend to speak the truth at all times, and if you are caught lying once, you will no longer be considered trustworthy because this will lead to breach of trust and will cutoff other links " says a resident of the capital.

Experts agrees that the Finns are short talkers as they avoid vague and ambiguous statement. They keep their Chat simple and are mostly keen on the value of agreement.

Additional, after gaining independence from the Red Finland " a Finnish socialist workers republic (FSWR), " on 6 December 1917, the Finnish language began to excel. Prior to the independence, Finland was under the authority of the swedish kingdom. With swedish being the language of the upper class, Finnish came to be associated with that of the lower class, clergy and peaseantry.

In 1809, the Finns got an autonomous status from " Alexander of Russia " during the Finnish war, becoming the grand duchy of Finland, a modern predecessor to what is currently known as the republic of Finland.

Thus, when Finland broke away, an Evangelical Lutheran Church which is " the largest in the world " and a Protestant ethic was established. The Lutheran's commenting on the legacies of Lutheranism in Finland, linked honesty to the Protestant missionary activities which focused on mass education and printing, which developed self reflection, and birthed honesty.

Notably, the fragile state index rated Finland as the most stable in the world from 2011-2016.

Currently, they sit at the top on world happiness report, an award they won consecutively from 2018-2020, making them the world most happy tax payers.

The vastly rural landscape combined with the dark Arctic winters, activated a notion of Finland natural build up. With engaging rural planning, high welfare value system and trustworthy residents, the Nordic country socio cultural heritage is certainly a role model for vast majority of developed and developing countries alike.
