Do think at all... How can you compare us to the western world our government is nothing to write home about..... Talents are wasting away on daily basis in Nigeria because our government cannot identify what is good and modify it to better standard. Please don't compare us Biko cos it's like saying a white man can serve juju more than a black man. Remember the white believe progress omega2128: |

There is practically nothing to applaud here, gathered scrapped parts and assembled and we clapping for such?! We are greater than this! I bet there is no electrical circuit in that moving coffin, just mechanical joints, then what is that in 2020. The car can't even BEAT Ford Model T of 1908 |

We all should be proud and join in celebrating this genius engineer for coming up with this unique invention. Hopefully.... this should inspire and motivate others to build on this foundation and 100 years from today..... in 2020.... if somehow we are still alive....we can look back to this day and say surely .... we have come a longgg way thanks to the genius from Gombe. |

If he was able to do this without any advanced education shows that he has a talent for engineering. In that way, he's not so different from the top engineers you'd find working in Mercedes, Toyota, BMW, and others. Their only difference is that they had the opportunity to live in a developed environment that cherishes and grows their talents to their best potential possible. This man and a million others like him only flaw is to be born in Nigeria. If he was in America, the likelihood is that fate would be entirely different and he might have become one of the most sought after automobile engineers. It pains me when I see our Nigerian brothers and sisters doing great things and making a name for themselves in another man's land. We have to watch as all their capabilities and skills are being made use of by another land, while the only thing we can do is praise their Nigerian name from afar, watching as the development of our land stagnates and deteriorates over and over. It's even worse when you see the leaders of our land; ones responsible for our plight, praising these amazing people and their deeds, not realizing in truth, they're praising their own inability and failure. The latest example of this is the praising of Kamaru Usman by President Buhari, perhaps not understanding that if kamaru usman hadn't migrated to the United States at the age of 8 and remained in Nigeria, he'd likely be another random nobody just trying to make a living. The reality of Nigeria would have killed his hopes and ambitions. So, I wait for the day to come when we'll be able to see and praise thousands to millions of internationally acclaimed great Nigerians, 100% born and bred in, and working for our motherland. |

Rubbish! Is this worth celebrating in this over 21st century? If i was the man, rather than build this shitty crap, i will hustle (carry kpon kpon, work in a factory, do all sort of menial job), gather funds and build something worth celebrating. A kindergarten student somewhere in Asia will build something better than the crap up there. ...and now you want the Government to sponsor mediocrity? Nonsense! |
