My question to you is are these children on lockdown at home? They go out to the market, places of worship (in some states), malls, viewing centres, football fields, visit themselves, but cannot write exams. ogaemma: 9 Likes |

babyfaceafrica: True, we mustn't follow the crowd. But what if what the crowd is scared of is real? Why should we rush in just cos we want to be different? Person wey go die go die? Sorry, that is not a philosophy that any sensible government or policy maker uses. You are welcome to it as a person of course, but please do not expect or encourage any government in Nigeria to embrace such an irresponsible philosophy when it comes to the lives of citizens. |

''jokers....we keep seeing different updates each time they choose to come up with a new version of this school reopening drama kenya just closed the matter and said school is still next year but Nigeria being the Giant of Africa are feeling to big to go that same way even though we all know that is thier main plan from the start.. this covid pandemic really showed the world the capabilities of its leaders and systems of each country and we all know that Nigeria education sector is too poorly systemized. they keep setting new guidelines that schools shoud adhere to forgetting the fact that the same citizens have violated almost all the documented audio, videos and photos guidelines placed to contain the virus before the lockdown was relaxed If schools do go ahead to resume without a vaccine being invented or an advance plan being taken to control the virus, i would gladly join the others to say NIGERIAN COVID VIRUS DO NOT'' It seem u are working in the public school and will not like school to resume till next year so that u will be getting free salary. Lazy citizen or maybe u haven't even go to any level of school in ur life whether formal or informal. 1 Like |

Conrod: As far as COVID19 is concerned, Nigeria should not be compared to the US anymore. Take a look at the daily new infection reports over there. This is July. The virus has been here for four months, yet no dead bodies lying in the streets of Africa as was projected. Besides, the US can and has been running their schools online, even doing virtual graduation ceremonies, while most of our students are idling about. This decision of the South West governors is quite commendable, especially where they mentioned plans to invest in Education Technology. That's what post COVID19 should be. If we had the tech before now, WASSCE exams could have been computer based and classes would have reopened online. 4 Likes |

ogaemma:It's obvious u choose to ignore facts. 1.Does it mean that once the school opens, we record more cases, more fatalities or what actually? 2. How many Children have u documented in Nigeria that have Corona? 3. US and Nigeria are now the same abi? 4. European countries and indeed Ghana and South Africa that have partially opened schools and are recording more school cases are not even deterred let alone ur sit and copy Presidency 5. All places are opened in Nigeria, have the virus skyrocketed? Better make ur research 2 Likes |

How can southwest sit and decide separately on a national issues? Isn’t there a ministry of education involved? These governors just act any how smtmes. So will southwest sit for exams leaving southeast and North?? If the ministry of education say no waec they are just wasting their time. They shud know this and act responsibly. 1 Like |

Angelinastto:Trust me dear. There are still debating on Waec, let alone schools reopening. Except the Federal govt makes a U-turn, there is No way. I repeat, 'No Way' Universities will likely resume this yr. ASUU is there, politicians are happy with the virus, Lecturers are not willing to return (50yrs and above) etc. My dear, it's inevitable |

Jahwinaboy: ASUU is a contaminated association that needs a new life. Those lecturers do not have the interest of education on their mind. Plus they keep dragging the entire tertiary education backwards willfully. I know that one day this ASUU shit will end so that tertiary education can progress unhindered. 1 Like |
