The first female combat Helicopter Pilot in Nigeria, Tolulope Arotile, dies in a Car Accident, at age 23.

Arotile can be seen as one of the greatest Young Lady of our time, and will always be remembered.
She died young, very young. Yet, for the short time she lived, she had scaled great horizons, spanning borders and landmarks that many within her age range can only dream off.

According to NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, until her death, ‪Flying Officer Arotile, who was commissioned into the NAF in September 2017 as a member of Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 64, was the first ever female combat helicopter pilot in the service.‬ During her short but impactful stay in the service, late Arotile, who hails from Iffe in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, contributed significantly to the efforts to rid the North Central States of armed bandits and other criminal elements by flying several combat missions under Operation GAMA AIKI in Minna, Niger State.”

Arotile was a Brave Nigerian Lady who found found her space, to serve and to make a difference.

Her life is a typical example of a short life, well lived. Even the President Mourns her demise.

Although she’s no more, she’ll always be remembered; she left behind, legacies that can never be worn out by the sands of time.

She died, just at the age of about 23.

Yet, she pursued and never gave up.

You’re not Arotile, I know.
You don’t have to be a Pilot like her, I know.

But you need to Pursue that Dream, with Passion.
You’re not too young, to make a difference!
