I'm about to begin my programming career and I'd like to know some good budget laptops to start learning programming.

Any laptop with a 4gb or 2gb ram, 500gb HDD, Intel i3 or i5 and a Linux OS will do. A HP would be nice enough.

Depends on which part of programming you're going for

For Android(App) development and data science, 8gb RAM and a fast core i5(the more recent gen, the better). Android studio and Data visualization apps consumes a lot of RAM

For web development, anything would be fine
