Using Paypal For Business From Unsupported Countries by archgoke: 5:30pm On Jul 17, 2020 |
If you live in a country that does not have full PayPal support, you might have run into the problem of not being able to deal with a large variety of clients that use the payment service as their standard. This means you are stuck having to seek out alternatives. This, sadly, doesn’t always work as customers are not likely to use alternative services regardless of how easy or convenient they might be. The reason for this is very simple because PayPal has branded itself as the Secure, Easy payment system where you need not worry about fraud and dishonest sellers, it has become the go-to for must online shoppers. Then the question becomes what can you do about this? Do you have to miss out on a large client base simply because you can not use their preferred payment solution? The answer to this is no, you don’t. There is a way to get a fully legal and functional PayPal account without relying on covert tactics that usually en of with you losing money. The first thing you need to know is that you have to approach this as a business, not as an individual. So a Personal account is out of the question. But I’m not going to keep you in suspense or be vague about this. There are a few easy steps you have to perform to get up and running. Step 1: Register a business If you intend to be a freelancer online or start a company while using PayPal the first thing you need to do is register your business. The catch however isn’t to register your business in your home country but one in a country that does not have any PayPal restrictions. Some first world countries allow a non-resident to start and operate their own business and make the process rather easy and straightforward. Options for this include the UK and USA but you can find services that offer options for a non-resident to open companies in a majority of other countries. We have a preference for UK non-resident company formation because the steps are easy and can be done in a very short period of time. The cost can range from 60 - 200 GBP depending on the service rendered and the options selected. Step 2: Set up a Bank Account This step is very easy as we would recommend using Transferwise Borderless Account service. With a few questions and ID verification, you can be up and running in a very short time. Plus the added benefit of the account is the ability to transfer your funds to almost any bank account around the world - perfect for sending your money back to your home country. You can create a business, however, make sure the name matches that used to register your company in step one. Now you can receive payments directly to your UK bank account number provided by transferwise. There is also the added benefit of being able to open a balance in other currencies. If you opt not to register your company in the UK and still wish to use Transferwise, make sure that the currency of your preferred country allows you to obtain account details within Transferwise. Step 3: Open Your PayPal Business Account Now for the step, you have all been waiting for. Armed with your company registration number, certificate of incorporation and other documents, you can go ahead and open a PayPal account in your country of choice. There are a few things you are going to have to remember: Makes sure to accurately specify your Nationality when it comes to filling out your personal information You will require a phone number within the country your company is registered, most company formation services offer this service as an addon Attach your Transferwise account to your PayPal so you can retrieve your funds when needed. Conclusion With this, you are ready to start accepting payments from clients using PayPal. There are a few final things you should take note of, these include tax filing in your selected country and specific laws that affect the nature and scope of your business. This is to avoid getting into any trouble down the line. For more information on this and more visit webwalk.pro |
