Protection of certain interests ensured that the privatisation of the refineries was reversed. That remains one major thing which, I believe, Yaradua got wrong. 24 Likes 3 Shares |

What many do not know is that there is nothing wrong with these refineries. With the humongous sums appropriated for the turn around maintenance, these refineries should be working at optimal level. However the enemies within are sabotaging the refineries as a result of the billions they rake from subsidy. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Our economy go crash madly The federal and state govt needs to remove its hands from most things. In the USA schooling is very costly, its either you try to be the best in a sport or in academics so as to win scholarship, or agree for loan to pay back by serving in the military. Or you fins work. In Nigeria the federal govt spends in running schools, the state spends as well, yet our education is wasted as we come out of the free education or the highly subsidized education to run abroad to work.. So whose the free education benefiting ? At most secondary schools should be subsidized, but universities shouldn't be cheap, the certificates lying around, of what use are there to our economy, rather spending on vocation and skill centres will be more profitable.. Apart from that, the government needs to hands off lots of agencies to private bodies... Imagine the cost of still paying all the salariez, depleting our foreign reserves while the economy is not really producing to make up for it... We need to all brace up, next year, we will be begging for money and no country is in form to borow us like this 20 Likes 1 Share |
