So there have been lots of threads about abortions, sex and so on. perhaps it will help if we can occasionally post topics on sex education. topics that are essential but rarely spoken of. many of us learned what we know from books (just for girls, every woman, etc). our parents are often shy about this topic. sometimes they're not educated themselves and can only teach what they know.

some people learn from the internet which is a mix bag in itself as you need to vet what you read. some learn from porn. truth is, porn is often the worse place to learn about sex as a first timer. it can leave you with very skewed expectations when it comes to real sex.
what about contraceptives? STD facts and myths and how to tell the difference? how about masculine or feminine hygiene before and after sex?
sex can be fun, memorable and safe but only if you have the right information.
there's an NGO in Nigeria called Maria Stopes that has a confidential WhatsApp chat service available (+234 908 002 2252) but I don't think lots of people know this.

please let's post educational and factual topics on sex (without the judgement that many religious folks bring into it). there are lots of teens and young adults on this forum. as an adult, I may learn a thing or two myself.
