Not every creature is an endangered specie. We don kill many mosquitoes and rats yet dem nor dey finish.....Since they've been practicing it for years now and the fishes are still available I don't see any problem with that.

You still believe the world was created six thousand years ago when there are dinosaur fossils to debunk that abeg shift. You might as well believe in Zeus such rubbish.

On a serious note, How long does it take a specie of animal like dinosaur to go into extinction? I don't know how you find it difficult to believe that although that could be varied myths and legends from different quarters but none have been so detail, specific and accurate like the ones obtained in the Bible. May be you'll do well to read it carefully with open mind.

They should go a sit there ass somewhere. WTF is wrong with those activist. Have they ever go near abattoir to see how cow are slaughtered daily? Have they go near poultry farm to see how chicken are being denied ever witnessing this world by selling their eggs for consumption? Do they know the number of chicken killed on daily basis? Not to talk of fish being frozen daily and consume by human. Among other animals killed for consumption.

If it was in Africa now all the foreign media will have been showing it an giving the ritual some dehumanizing names.
This is even the first time I am getting to know about this and it says it has been going on yearly for about 1000 years.

Not at all.

There so many barbaric acts being carried out across the globe.

The America is even worse.

Bush meat eaters on nairaland walking with shoulders high on this thread grin

There is nothing babaric in the act. God gave animals and plants as food for man. Goats, Cows, Chicken, Fish etc are slaughtered daily, all over the world, for human consumption

"This is the first organised grindadrap hunt of 2020 with the meat from the hunt distributed first to the approximately 70 hunt participants from the boats and those killing on the beach - and then the remainder to villages on Suðuroy with all recipients then free to sell their share of the meat if they so wish."

I wonder how those fishes haven't migrated frOm that sea, judging by the fact that, that's how they are hunted and killed every year. So all the tales we used to hear in tthose days that whales are capable of capsizing ships are false. Whales and sharks coukd not attack these killers or capsize their ships I saw something like this last year also. That means no matter how we catch fish in water, they can never finish.
There are different species of whales, the whales killed here are a smaller type as can be seen in the pictures not the type that are capable of capsizing ships.

If in a millennium their ancestors didn’t decimate dolphins to endangered species then there’s no cause for worry. Will the people eat the creatures or will the carcasses waste? We are yet to see. I’m all against waste. I also see the exercise as one for replenishing the ecosystem. Nature has a way of always balancing things.
