Norway has 5 million people and it produces the highest oil per capita outside the Middle East. Oil production is around 20 percent of GDP. Income tax is almost 50 percent of income and there is a budget surplus every year which goes to the trillion dollar Norwegian sovereign wealth fund. If the USA were being run like Norway, the USA will have a sovereign wealth fund worth over 50 trillion dollars and not the 20 trillion dollar deficit the US currently has. Norway has many national companies and may be described as a free market communist state.
