Poor Economic Mindset Of Nigerian by Jiokcareers: 7:57pm On Jul 20, 2020 |
World bank report have present a call on Nigeria being among the world poverty based. Having a core knowledge on the country full of natural resource, it can not be absolve to be wave because Nigeria is stipulated to be an individual: ” How do I mean? Nigeria is ” YOU” Yes I mean you” not the country as a whole, it takes more on government to take Nigeria out of poverty but it take “YOU” even without the help of the government to take Nigeria out of poverty. We should stop seeing Nigeria as a “whole” but has a “part” called individual, also we need to see Nigeria as NAME, just like I am a Nigerian, you are a Nigerian and not just a filter country that is when you are wealthy, Nigeria is wealthy, when you become sick and poor, Nigeria is sick and poor. There are some poor mindsets that has kept Nigeria poor and if not address will lead to a more doomsday reports However, before I look into the ills mindset that has kept Nigeria at a poor state, let me take a little time to define what poverty and wealth. According to Wikipedia, Poverty is not having enough material possessions or income for a person’s needs. While wealth is the abundance of valuable financial assets or physical possessions which can be converted into a form that can be used for transactions.......... https://jiokcareers.com/poor-economic-mindset-of-nigerian-part-1/ 1 Like 1 Share |

Nigerians don't like this line of reasoning. I sense the last 20 years have been used in poisoning the intellect of the Nigerian youth wherein they are more invested in tribal, religious and sectarian activities. It would take a lot to emancipate Nigerians. |

Golan007: They are interested in all those when they have nothing. Immediately they have some cash, all attention turns to the self. We are Nigerians, we are Nigeria and we are our leaders. Everything that goes in our political realm is what goes on in the family unit, workplaces, community settings and religious circles. Our education and religions have not impacted us, we have impacted it and turn it the way we want. The policies practiced by the whites in accordance to their values are what we copied and use to promote self and family interest. Today, Nigerians don't really hold onto something if it doesn't benefit them. Our choice of religion, political ideologies and correctness, following modern trends etc. If it doesn't favour their carnal wants, Nigeria won't get involved but as long as it gives them opportunity to be more debased, they become adherents. There is more than meets the eye in the problem with Nigerians. Going to a country where things are already set caged some of our beastly behaviours and this is why Nigerians can be law-abiding in foreign countries than they'll ever be in their home. 1 Like 1 Share |
