Rapper Kanye West shocked fans when he announced that he's been trying to divorce his wife Kim Kardashian for years after his bizarre presidential rally


Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have had quite the rollercoaster marriage.

But it's exploded lately after he told the world he'd been trying to divorce the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.

Kim, 39, was said to be left seething when her rapper husband, 43, announced that they'd considered aborting their seven-year-old daughter North for three months during his controversial presidential rally.

Kim had originally supported Kanye's bid for the White House, sharing his announcement tweet with her own followers.

But it's hard to believe that she'll be on board now, and her social media silence is saying it all for her fans.

Last night, Kanye took to Twitter to say he's been trying to divorce Kim for almost two years, ever since she met Meek Mill at a hotel.


"I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf for 'prison reform'.

"I got 200 more to go. This my lady tweet of the night … Kris Jong-Un Lil baby my favorite rapper but won’t do a song wit me."

Kanye was seemingly referring to the time Kim met up with Nicki Minaj's ex Meek in Los Angeles in November 2018.

They had teamed up to speak at the inaugural Criminal Justice Reform Summit.

Kanye has also taken aim at Kim for posing for Playboy.

He tweeted: "Kim saved my daughters life in the name of Jesus It’s Gods choice only I will live for my children Kris I’m in Cody if your not planning another one of your children’s playboy shoots".


He also shared a picture of his kids, writing: "West children will never do playboy"

Kanye continued to publicly attack his wife and her mum Kris Jenner, saying that Kris ignoring his calls and them putting out a statement without his approval was "white supremacy".


He signed it all off "Says the future President".

This is far from the first time the couple have had disagreements.

They've faced split rumours a number of times over the years, but they've never given it this much fire.

Kim and Kanye have been married since 2014 but they'd known each other for much longer.

Kanye made a few appearances on KUWTK before he and Kim embarked on their romance.


As well as North, they also share kids Saint, four, Chicago, two, and Psalm, 14 months.

Before this, the most recent split rumours came during lockdown, with reports that they were living at opposite ends of their mansion.

However, Kim put that to bed on Kanye's birthday in June when she paid a gushing tribute to him on social media.

Sharing two loved-up pictures, she wrote: "Happy Birthday to my King".

During the Met Gala last year, Kim and Kanye had a row over her revealing dress, and he said it made his 'soul hurt' when she looked too sexy.

On an episode of her show, Kim was seen trying on her Thierry Mugler gown the night before the event.

Kim joked that her dress was so tight that if she needed the toilet she'd have to wet herself and get one of her sisters to wipe her leg.

But that was the last of Kanye's concerns.


The couple ended up arguing over Kim's look, and she was left riddled with "anxiety", especially as her look was going to see her land her first solo US Vogue cover.

Kanye frowned when he saw Kim's dress and told her it didn't match with his personal evolution.

He told her: "I just made this transition from being a rapper, looking at all these girls, looking at my wife. Like, 'Oh, my girl needs to be like the other girls, showing her body off'.

"I didn't realise that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone that's married and loved, and the father of now, what - about to be four kids?"

The argument took place before the couple welcomed their fourth child, Psalm, via surrogate.

Kanye said: "A corset is like a form of underwear. It's hot. It's like, it's hot for who, though?"


But Kim wasn't happy with his 11th hour criticisms.

She said: "So the night before the Met, you're gonna come in here and say that you're not into a corset bust? I'm getting really bad anxiety. What are you talking about?

"I don't need any more negative energy for you to now say that you're not into me in a tight dress."

Kanye fired back: "You are my wife, and it affects me when pictures are too sexy."

And Kim told her husband it's because of him she has the confidence to dress the way she does.

She said: "You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this stuff.

"And just because you're on a journey and you're on a transformation doesn't mean that I'm in the same spot with you."

Kanye left after telling Kim: "All right, cool."

And Kim responded: "That's absolutely ridiculous."

In 2018, Kanye made it clear that Kim wasn't happy with his tweets about Donald Trump.

He was a huge supporter of the President at the time and had been posting about him, calling him his "brother" and saying they both have "dragon energy".

He tweeted: "You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."

But it seems Kim wasn't too pleased with the tweet, and immediately contacted Kanye, telling him to set the record straight.

He later added: "my wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don't agree with everything Trump does. I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself."

The couple have faced a number of ups and downs over the years, but fans are worried that recent events have officially spelled the end of the relationship.
