There's 'parental control' on DStv. If any parent can afford d decoder, I want to believe dey should know how to operate it. Sadly, parents know what to do but, They won't do it.. all they want is to hold the organisers of the show responsible for their own inability to control their kids. Yeye dey smell jare.

It's so unnecessary... There is parental control already... Why the fuss... BBNAIJA isn't the only R18 content on TV tho.... We are just hypocrite
They are using style to promote the program.
Everyone would like to watch it now, to see what is actually wrong with it.

Lol. Stop being more holy than the Pope. Bbnaija has its market, and it creates employment. Nobody is forcing your kid to watch it. Porn is more accessible than bbnaija
Sense1000 it's marked R18 for a reason . If u can't control what your kids watch you're on your own. As said above porn is easier to access. It would be your falt if your child misbehaves due to what they see on tv

The 5th edition of the contentious reality show, BBNaija has kicked off on Sunday, July 19, with this year’s edition tagged ‘BBNaija lockdown’. Going by the number of streams, messages and traffics under hashtags, unarguably, it is Africa’s largest reality TV show.

The previous editions of the show have always come to light in the spring of academic sessions, when most kids are in school - but unfortunately, the train of this year’s edition took off while the whole world is home alone, and made to stay indoors due to the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.

As a show that has raised many dust in the past and still stirring opinions at the moment, BBNaija is undoubtedly, a controversial show. Many criticisms have been levelled against it by clerics, academics, parents and other well-meaning Nigerians, and this was borne out of nothing but its immoral and sexual contents; like live TV sex, kissing, romance, illicit talks, indecent dresses that reveals shapes, cleavages and lots more - all which would be improper for little kids to watch, especially in this lockdown period.

A terrible mistake parents should not afford to make for the next 10 weeks is sleeping with their eyes closed; hence exposing their child(ren) to this dangerous show, else, these innocent kids will have immoralities injected into them. And most of the things they watch on TV, they would love to give a chance to practice, such is just the funny power of their psychological programming. Imagine a situation where kids utter slangs, kiss, romance or practice other filths they have watched from BBNaija show.

Parents should, hence, keep a watch on their children by limiting their access to television or the remote control. Good channels where beneficial and educative programs are available should rather be what kids should be allowed to watch, and not a show that would shape their value system and behaviors in an illicit manner.

and you can't sue anybody for showing it because it has been rated under law
Re: BBNaija 2020: Now That Our Kids Are At Home by Teespice(f): 4:16pm On Jul 23, 2020
First of all, BBN is rated 18.

Secondly, there are parental features on the remote that once you go to the settings and activate, the channel will be locked and as such won't be viewed by children.

Do this and there won't be need for long story.

Which one be spiritual forces? All you need is common sense to avoid immoral and trashy distractions I life.

All these spiritual this and that are just bunch of excuses.
This big brother trash and other nonsensical shows are not unique to Nigeria alone. They are found in many nations also, it's up to each individual to decide if they will allow such rubbish to distract them or not.

Samson followed this same line of reasoning when his fall was imminent, unfortunately he learnt his lesson too late. There is little or nothing our common sense can do against the subtle wiles of the Devil, Jesus said watch and pray that's the antidote. You Know Jeff Bezos shared a great percentage of this common sense but was eaten up like a loaf of bread when these evil forces came against him and break up his family........the list is endless!

1 sam 2:9
He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail.

1 cor 10:12
Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

It pains me how we Nigerians worry about petty things. There are a lot of stations in your cable TV to watch, some for children. The PG of BBNaija is 18+ If you allow your kids to watch it, then you are to blame. Tune to cartoon network and let the adults watch the show in peace. Mind you, I'm not a fan of the show myself. We Nigerians are so ignorant. Always check the PG ratings of TV shows, movies, talk shows and documentaries. angry
