Covid-19??! What a silly excuse!!!

If pandemic is the issue, then the show shouldn't have been allowed to take off in the first place...

How exactly will individuals in a house for almost a week, spread a virus to others??! People who never showed symptoms for over 2 weeks for that matter.

I honestly couldn't care less what becomes of the worthless show, but we are talking about people's multimillion naira investment here... It's too late for such stupidity and insensitivity.

Lai Mohammed should channel his idle energy into finding a way out of the crisis in the North, along with his fellow idle and corrupt ministers.

Everything about this government n its administration is hardship and suffering. There are more serious issues to deal with.

Just call them for a private meeting and discuss about increasing your pay cut, don't come out and deceive Nigerians like you really care.

What scares me the most here is the lack of process in NBC, how can the minister just cancel a TV show? What process or guidelines have been developed by the NBC to tackle COVID-19 in the industry? Or what modification of policies have been made to address the new normal?

I hate that show with passion. Gather all Akwuna and wayward young boys to distract and making the massses redundace.

In fact they should arrest all of them first including the director for gross insurbordination.

The last time I checked, the Ondo and Edo State primary elections held, the participants were more than 22, unlike the BBN which has 20 housemates and few few people. The primaries were not halted.

The gubernatorial elections will still hold in these states and the pandemic won’t be considered an excuse to postpone the elections.

Many precautions were put in place before starting this edition of BBN and the participants well all tested before being admitted into the house. The precautions still continue.

If Mr Lai Mohammed has any issue or reservations for the show or Multichoice, he can please come out explicitly to tell us and stop citing in inexcusable reason of pandemic.

For real. I thought it was just me. Though some people fancy it. Its expensive lame. The first 2 seasons of Gulder Ultimate Search was so so better. Other reality stuff from Naija is 360 trash. No be only big brother

I don't watch the show but we have greater pressing needs in the country. People are being killed like chicken, some heads of government MDA's are sucking the country dry,insecurity on our high ways.you havent commented on the governors who claim there is no covid in their state but you're concerned about bbn.the shows organizers must have screened the housemates before they entered the house.pls concentrate on the pressing issues in the country and stop chasing shadows and phantoms.

I have only attempted to watch this program just twice. But every time I tried I changed the channel or slept off within 10mins. That's how much I dislike the program.

However, very many other people love it, and since it brings them joy and satisfaction then it's okay. I just don't need to tune in to the channel since I dislike it.

At this time when people are looking for every way possible to have fun and forget the negativities of pandemic, killings, rape, etc, it's only sensible to allow such programs. It's also relatively easy to check and control the risk of spread of Covid-19 among such handful of people. This is similar to organising virtual musical concerts, just to bring the life back to the society.

In Mc Edo pikin voice they sit down and watch big boobs in bbnaija which they will never suck while our politician are sucking our money.

I disagree with NBC for the following reasons:

(1) The housemates are not more thsn 20.

(2) They have bn isolated for 2 weeks and shown no symptoms. I wint be suprised if they were tested.

(3) The house is a controlled environment, therefore the likelihood of infection is minimal.

(4) In the event that one of them has COVID19, contact tracing is much easier

(5) NBC should have used BB9JA as an awareness campaign about COVID19 since it has a large captive audience.


There are millions of houses in nigeria where more than 20 live together in 1 compound, mingling with potential COVID19 carriers. Are those ones not more difficult to deal with than these in a sealed up environment?
