Life with Covid is the new norm! Everything is changing and will probably keep changing until Bill Gates or one genius produces the cure or vaccine for the scary Covid. The Covid shouldn’t really be so scary but we fear it because of its mode of transmission. Even the neatest and most careful human could fall prey to it.

Adults are groaning about their financial loss and the restrictions imposed on their social lives. Has anyone ever wondered how children feel or get by in this ‘Stay at home’ era? Of course, they have been told that they can’t go to school anymore and we expect them to accept and adjust after all, they sometimes wouldn’t mind skipping school before the advent of the Covid. Technological savvy schools are cashing out on different e-learning platforms to keep education alive but not all parents can afford to send their children to such schools or provide the gadgets needed for such with the rampant pay cut and loss of jobs experienced by workers.

This is the time to switch to informal education propagated by our forefathers (bless their souls). Teach your child to clean up after meals, make his bed, prepare sandwich, dust the living room and do other home chores. It is always a bonus to you and your child if he is taught responsibility from his early age. You have the opportunity of teaching him all the values you want this period. The Covid isn’t all pain. Be grateful you have these young ones with you. Engage them in conversations and find out their thoughts on their non-negotiable holiday. You will be amazed when you know what goes on in their brilliant minds. Some of them believe that the Covid is real because they hear adults talk and they watch the awareness programmes on television while others don’t believe in Covid because the adults around them have successfully planted the seeds of doubt in them. The one certain thing they do know is that the world is not the same anymore as their usual timetable has changed drastically. Some do not know how to occupy themselves. In a bid to get attention from their parents, they become naughty. They are in their active age and they need to be engaged constructively lest they wear you out with their escapades.

So, how does your child feel about the Covid and how is he coping with the ‘stay at home’?

Now that kids have free assess to the internet, I hope the parents will monitor them.

We all know how the pandemic- corona virus has tremendously affected education, and it's impact on schools. We must acknowledge that it hasn't come off easy on students to learn in these times, and that is why we've created a platform for free tutorials for students and others willing to learn or develop their intellectual capacity at the comfort of their homes.

We believe no one is dumb and each is born with different capacity and talents. Our chief aim is promoting efficiency and productivity within and outside school.

Kindly help your children develop themselves at this time. Thank you!
