Hello everyone, I need clarifications on these construction question for a 3 storey commercial building
1. Between 12 and 16mm rods, which is used in running the beams for the second slab
2. Can 12mm rod be used in running the pillars of the second and third floor?

Pls refer to specifications & instructions & recommendations on the structural drwgs.


*We don't know the numbers of floors you're building
*purpose of the building ie. Commercial or residential or public or factory etc.
*all these will help calculate the depth of beams & floor thickness.

Conventionally,when you use 12mm rods you have to increase the quantities to match up with the weight of 16mm.
