The boy in that video has been hailed for his ability to negotiate his way out of trouble to the extent he got noticed by the governor of Lagos state, made a brand ambassador of some agencies and the mother is now being hailed.

Now, knowing how many women tend to threat kids that stay with them that are not theirs. Cases of the child of their relations, house helps and adopted kids, I wonder if that boy would not have been beaten mercilessly rather than have that opportunity to even beg.

Many mothers threat their own children differently from how they would treat other kids left in their care. Cases abound of mothers putting pepper in the private parts of kids, using hot iron and many other terrible things.

Her case is different, you didn't see her lay a finger on the child. She only threatened him and if you paid attention to what she said, you'd have heard when she said "I will flog you so you don't touch what does not belong to you again.

Again, her making a video of it proves its something they laugh over at home. Maybe the boy is fond of doing it. If she wanted to flog him, she would have done it without waiting for him to say anything.

Please don't compare her with mean mothers that inflict physical injuries on children.
