Well Meaning Citizens And Student Leaders Recommend Some Advice To Students by queenamawo: 11:02pm On Aug 03, 2020 |
Some well-meaning Citizens and Student leaders alike in the country have recommended some advice to fellow students whom they expect to make wise use of, in this Global Pandemic and unending ASUU strike. As the various advices have been compiled by queenamawo.ng are as follows; By Adams Musa London One thing I will want to suggest is that no time should be wasted, students should use this opportunity to acquire new skills, like entrepreneurship development, barbing, baking, cooking, mechanic, driving, plumbing, installation or even ladies saloon, this are sure ways out because no knowledge is a waste, two weeks is enough to start something, dont look down on any handwork, it pays more than government work and before you know it people will start celebrating you, when many are going for white collar Jobs, the so call illiterates are smiling to the banks. We have alot of people in business that cannot read or write, but they have good number of graduates working for them and earning a living from their businesses, whoever that has money controls, not a certified person, people go to school to acquire knowledge, more sense and how to create a Job, not to look for Job. It’s high-time our youths and school graduates Know that life is getting harder by the day and for you to get a good job now in government or private organization talent or skill is required, the best time to learn a skill was last week but the second best and useful time to aquire the skill needed to be self reliance is NOW. There is dignity in labour, hard work doesn’t kill but laziness does. Be wise!!! Abubakar Aliyu Abba As a student representative, my advise to Nigerian students, now that they are at home, they should exercise patience and take the necessary measures as instructed by NCDC. Concentrate on your books, do your best to create a good schedule for your academics as you all know universities were on session and activities will continue from where they stopped as soon as school resumes. Take some “stretching break” during your studies at home or go for a walk while maintaining social distancing. Because your energy is best spent in the present planning for the future. Life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced. Let’s pray for our country Nigeria, pray for Africa and also pray for the whole world over this pandemic. Life can be happier and stress free if we have all that we desire. But time will give us all that we deserve. By Yusuf I Gadzama – Students have to be patient in whatsoever condition they find themselves in. And also student must ensure they are well creative and also start planning for something to do, either socially or practically. They should try and get something doing like internship and skills leaning so that when they graduate, they can have something doing before getting a white-collar job.
