Given the obvious vulnerability of our health sector, the Economic Sustainability Plan calls for speedy movement to universal health coverage using a combination of public finance and mandatory social health insurance.

Another valuable insight that we got from COVID19 pandemic is the key role of digital technology in economic activity going forward .

Access to broadband facilities is key for software development, digital education, e-commerce, e-health, e-government, internet banking, and even video conferences.

The ESP accordingly calls for total national broadband coverage.

An excerpt of what prof Yemi Osinbajo shared earlier today as @lagoschamber88's virtual presidential policy Dialogue's special guests of Honour.

The pandemic exposed our weak health sector and i'm convinced the ESP will address some key areas in our economy. The broadband connectivity will help the IT sector and encourage youths to explore more opportunities.

There’s a well-understood correlation that as the economy of a country improves, so the health of its citizens improves. What may be less obvious is that the opposite is also true – improving the health of a nation’s citizens can directly result in economic growth, because there will be more people able to conduct effective activities in the workforce. Osinbajo will forever be remembered for the role he played by ensuring the lives of his citizen is more important to him. I can't wait for the positive impact of the economic sustainability plan. May God save Nigeria and Nigerian from enemies within.
