THE Nigerian activist, Olawale Bakare widely known as Mandate and two other revolutionNow protesters, have been released by the Department of State Services in Osun state.

VOICE AIR MEDIA gathered that Mr Sowore - publisher of Saharareporter confirmed the release on twitter.

"Dear Revolutionaries: Thank you all for standing firm against tyranny and lawlessness in our country, I can confirm that Olawale Adebayo Bakare @IamMandate is now out of DSS detention in Oshogbo. Recall seven protesters were, on Wednesday, arrested by the Security agents in Osogbo, Osun State, on Wednesday for participating in the RevolutionNow protest that saw dozens of citizens taking to the streets in different parts of the country to demand better governance from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

VOICE AIR MEDIA reported how the SSS released three of the seven persons, they are; Olowolafe Dunsi, Martins Jesuloni and Gift Martins.

Another protester, Oguntola Samuel, was released on Friday, while Abiodun Sanusi and Olatokun Oyedele, Olawale Bakare were later freed from SSS custody few hour ago.

VOICE AIR MEDIA reported that similar protests were held in other states and FCT and those protesters arrested during the protests in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun were released the same day they were arrested.

VOICE AIR MEDIA, noting that Olawale Bakare “Mandate”, during the maiden edition of the protest on August 5, 2019, he was also arrested by the DSS and kept in unlawful detention until December when he was released on bail.
