Focus: Put away every Idol

WORD FOR TODAY
Everything that contend with the place of God in your heart is an Idol. The presence of an Idol will always provide resistance to experiencing God!!!

Scriptural Reference
"Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false." (Psalms 24:3-4 NIV).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Whatever you elevate above the interest of God is an Idol. Many a man gave their lives to God just because they heard that doing so will bring healing, blessing, promotion, freedom, prosperity, protection and the likes; but not to really repent from their sinful ways and live for Him.

They appeared to be following God but not with a perfect heart. They came looking for resources to glorify and manage their sinful nature. Their service is not unto the Lord but to the idols in their heart.

The Lord will never allow them to experience the fullness of His kingdom. They cannot come to His Hill because no matter what He does for them; will never be for His benefit and the fullfillment of His purpose on earth. If they are still available for God; it is because what will take them away from God's presence has not come. Also, when their expections are not met they become offend and seek for alternative.

What do you seek? What are you living for? The Lord will not share His glory with anyone! He knows your heart and the motive behind everything you do. Put away every idol from your heart and live your entire life fulfilling His purpose.

Lord! Deliver me from every lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and every pride of life in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Main Emphasis
A soul lifted up to an idol will never come into God's eternal presence!!!
