Ronaldinho, a former Barcelona FC of Spain Champions League winning star and Brazilian World cup winner has regained freedom after five months in detention in Paraguay. His freedom was in exchange of a fine of 70,000 pounds.

His brother Roberto de Assis Moreira who was also detained with him could also be freed pending a prosecution proposal of about 85,000 pounds fine for a two years suspended jail sentence.

Ronaldinho and his brother were detained after entering Paraguay on March 6 with a doctored travel documents to launch an online Casino and a book.

Ronaldinho and his brother were detained in a Paraguayan prison for about a month before they were moved to a five star hotel, Palmoroga in the Uruguayan Capital, Asucion in a house arrest deal.

In an interview at the end of April, the 40 years old Brazilian revealed to a Paraguayan daily, ABC Color that the first thing he will do when he regains his freedom is to give his loving mum, Miguelina "a big kiss".
