You know the saying "add some color to your life"? Well, that's what I'm doing.. Those of you who lambasted me for my last post on how to change your phone's lcd display to amoled because I couldn't give an accurate screenshot. Well, here you go:

1st Picture - Normal LCD display
2nd Picture - the purposed amoled display
3rd Picture - Eye care display (sepia).

But that isn't what this post is about. Man's gotta let go of the past. This post is to share an interesting knowledge pertaining to android customization. I would be concise on this. I literally changed or should I say replace the default quick settings of my ZTE Blade L3 via the following:

- Root access
- Power shade (the app that does the magic available on play store)

Well, pictures speak louder than words.
The first is the default quick settings. Shabby isn't it?

The best part of this app is that it doesn't just function like the default feature efficiently but it is also customizable to the core beyond the regular quick settings in most devices.

All these were done in my bedroom. It doesn't require great effort at all. People actually guessed my phone to be 35,000 naira and above due to its aesthetics. The customization is endless and the heart-warming part is that it doesn't consume batter power excessively. Just sweet, efficient and moderate. It doesn't get better than this. But there is happiness in sharing than in withholding. Perhaps someone out there might find this beneficial. Pls I would appreciate your views on this. Thanks. cool tongue

The difference between supposed LCD and AMOLED display I can see from my phone. The LCD looked pleasing, the darks were somewhat messed up on the AMOLED.

P.s - I viewed this from an AMOLED display.

Trueguy573... Nice work there bro!!
I can do these things but I need a better phone. Most of the best and latest mods now are android 5.1+ now.
And my version is 4.4..... Had it been I could find a custom ROM for my phone, I'd have flashed a lolipop rom

You said you viewed it from an amoled display. Well in your amoled display, the LCD would be clearer and more colourful and the amoled would be extra colourful. So add things up and figure that the reason the amoled seems excessively colourful is due to your screen's display. Period.

Oh yes it does. It works better with root access and drains battery less.

I'm gonna assume you've never used an amoled device, this is because a highly saturated color profile on an LCD screen and the amoled displays made by Samsung are lightyears apart!

If you've ever used an amoled device, reverting to LCD becomes nearly unbearable.

You're right. I know that it doesn't change my display to amoled. It rather emulates it. Amoled display has its cons though specifically screen burns
