I actually didn't want to reply you because your post smells of hatred. Ronaldinho was consistent buy not as consistent as Messi, he was in his early 30s when a teenage Messi pushed him out of favour in barca. Go do your research on Ronaldinho. He never had the consistency Messi enjoys, there were amazing seasons gbat Ronaldinho enjoyed but he never had that consistently. Ronaldinho would be remembered as one of the greats, but his name had never come up when we discuss the GREATEST OF ALL TIME. And saying Messi was consistent in only one team is hogwash. He's been consistent since he was 17yrs old, won international age grade trophies with Argentina, did well in his national teams. Though the teams didn't win anything but no one can blame Messi, he gave his best for Argentina. And consistency has nothing to do with whether you're in one team or several teams it just means you're doing well regularly day in day out
I don't hate Messi. If all footballers were to be like Messi and Ronaldo then we won't have stars again. If Ronaldinho didn't leave an early shirt for Messi and probably become less goal oriented, do you think Messi would enjoy much of his time like he has done? Every good player who will like to help another will need to advance to some other club so a youngster may be known and that's exactly what Ronaldinho did. Let me ask you this, while Ronaldinho was playing for Barcelona, would you prefer to use Messi and bench Ronaldinho? You'll probably not. This generation footballers are stingy with awards. they won't want another to win it. Even Ronaldo Delima didn't stay at one club to register a success and allow an upcoming star to excel.
Which player is as complete in football as Ronaldinho? Name just one, please.

This discussion of staying at one club is very stupid. Extremely stupid, it's just like saying a man should leave Canada where he is living well and go to his village in one state in Nigeria to prove that he is a man, what does Messi need to leave Barca for he helped build Barca to being the best club in the world, so he should leave to prove something to someone that doesn't matter?, Even those great players that left their clubs either left to better clubs or left for better pay, or in few cases had fights with their current employer. It had nothing to do with proving they were good or not. Ronaldo would still be at Real if they were ready to become his puppets. And who both know that Messi isn't a selfish player who doesn't want those behind him to advance, we all know how much he helped neymar when he was at Barca, even how he's helping Fatima's and Ruig. In his last match he allowed Suarez to take a PK that he won, when last did the GOAT at juve give someone a PK or freekick to take.
And don't make it look like Ronaldinho gave up his position at Barca he fell out of favour with the coach and coaching staff, he lost form, was growing fat, coming to training late and when he was there he would be Messing around dancing, singing or just being indisciplined. And to answer your question, I'd prefer to have Messi a player who guarantees 40+ goals a season, atleast 15 assists, amazing defense splitting passes, dribbles and runs to a player who offers nothing much more than entertainment to my team, just about 10+ goals and 10+ assists a season..

I'm not taking anything away from Ronaldinho and his achievement and in all honesty he is one of the most talented players ever maybe even more than Messi but he never had the consistency, discipline and standard that Messi has.. and thats the whole truth

And please tell me what you mean by Ronaldinho being the most complete footballer?, How is he the most complete footballer?. You're comparing a player that isn't even regarded as the best player of his generation in Brazil alone to a player generally agreed to be the best footballer to have ever kicked the ball.. how can you even do that??

Growing fat! hmmm
A well balanced player who increase his lifestyle with entertainment and made everything simple was growing fat. Even if Ronaldinho added 10kg, he will still be flexible and better than any other dribbler.
Sir, if Ronaldinho had staged a fight with Messi for the shirt, do you think Messi would have defeat him? Please, just forget it, Ronaldinho even till this moment has no ego as compared to Messi. Let Messi leave that club and let the young talents also shine. Please...

What i know is that the two players are good but i still believe Ronaldinho is a better player. Players should not be judge by the number of goals the score or the number of years they played for. It should be about what the player brought to fore when he is active. Ronaldinho is the most skillful player to ever kick football, he doesn't copy skills,he invented them and there are things he does with football that ends with him. To me he is incomparable to any footballer that has ever played the game. Shikena

No footballer have used football the way Ronaldinho used it. Even the most impossible things in football have been done by him. scored in all style and played in all ways. Even Pele is known for goals but not for style.
A player who can Convert a skill for scoring by himself without aid. A player who don't need assist to do ridiculous stunts.

Ronaldinho was dropped and Messi was taken up by the coach, and Barcelona became a better team and the most successful team of the era invariably making pep one of the world class coaches. So obviously dropping Ronaldinho for Messi was one of the best decision Barca ever made.

And it's funny you're saying Messi is blocking anybody's shine at Barca, we see what became of the players that ran away from Barca to escape Messi shine.. they never got to that level they were at Barca, so you see Messi isn't blocking anyone's shine, he's doing the opposite. And even if Messi leave Barca to another club, would he not still block the shine of the young players in his new club?, See what Ronaldo has done to dybala and co. Messi will still be the starman where ever he goes, any young player that needs a major player to leave the club so that he can become great doesn't deserve it in the first place. No one will ever hand you anything in life you've got to fight for it

Your definition of complete is funny, no player is complete and non will ever be, everyone would have their strength and weeknesses.. that's life, Ronaldinho isn't complete, neither is Messi or any other player ever

Ronaldo is doing nothing Dybala oh! Instead of those guys taking advantage of Ronaldo's effort to build their game, they are messing around on his shoulder.

You just amplified my words. Messi is also not doing anything to hurt anyone's career same as Ronaldo. Those young players you are trying to protect are either too lazy, not talented enough or just not disciplined enough to put Messi on the bench. So if Messi leaves Barca today nothing will change, they won't suddenly become better players. End of story

Oga, if Messi dribble you, all you'll do is just run along with him but if Ronaldinho dribble you, hmmm, a 4sqr metre is enough to end your entire career with numerous skills. Ronaldinho was a goal master-piece. He has the best accuracy in football-a player who can comfortably play with the goal post without missing, who can juggle without missing, whose football was for the fans and not just himself.

Ronaldinho played for fun , he was more of an entertainer than a footballer, his game was silky smooth , beautiful sometimes mesmerizing but messi is a total phenomenon a different beast .

people of NAIRALAND.
please I have an urgent matter to tell.

murmuring to him/herself,

a whole Barcelona 8-2 against Bayern Munich
Setien from Real Betis to Barcelona
the fool bench Rakitic for Sergi Roberto plus faded Suarez
Messi the goat or na Malu
Coutinho go on loan, come back score 2 and 1 assist

please stop the person, save a life, call 112

you have said it all. messi is selfish. he could have helped neymar to stay in the club. barca is paying the price now.
