eSports in Nigeria, like many other things, are under-developed with one or two stakeholder calling the shots. The development of eSports, although slightly better than it was five years ago, is very abysmal compared to other part of the world.

The country is yet to hold a major exclusive eSports competition but there has been some local competition springing up here and there like the annual Techplus events.
