well i have not been actually embarrassed before, but I would av been.... it all happen when I was dating a girl and did not want her to know I was teaching.... even though the school was a big school and it's pay is not all that bad..... I did not want her to know I was teaching..... on this faithful day as I was teaching she called.. since I gave the class some work to solve , I said let me leave the class and answer this nwa baby....... I was on the call which was getting interesting while I was contemplating to end it.... on known to me those children ( if not God I wod say demonic children) turned the class upside down.... the call was interesting I did not know it was my class the noise was coming from..... while I was on the call, one child ran to me and said sir should I wrote names of noise makers the class is making noise.... I swear his voice was as if the put amplifier..... even the gate man could hear him..... just to cover the shame fast I said okay go... while he was running back the director who has heard the knows came up and saw me on call.... he started shouting what was I doing that my class was noise..... immediately I tried ending the call. not knowing it did not switch off .....the babe hear how the director was just shouting at me telling me how would I act so careless like that.... how would I leave those children.... he called. me some on holy name and said shit........ and told me he would deal. with me later..... well the phone went off after she could not take it any more... I think she felt the shame and embarrassment for me.......

latter that day she called me and said she sorry for the embarrassment and said we should pray about it.... she prayed with me on the phone and then told me things will get better.....

today I am the CEO of my own business... I have a catfish farm and is doing well... and I plan to. marry her

Ah, you have not met men then. Your CV is inconsequencial prior to getting employed if you know people in this country. You can submit that for the records after you resume work. I once stayed in Abuja and I have seen people get jobs without CVs, applications or interviews. They just got employed by simple referral or picked up appointment letters after a short phone call. I am talking about jobs,not work oooo. Comfortable jobs

I finished my NYSC as a fresh babe, I had high hopes, there was this highly influential man on my Facebook that had promised to collect my CV after my NYSC, immediately I finished my NYSC, I talked with him, he said thankGod you are done, it's not easy, then I asked him if I could send my CV to him now that I'm done since he said I should do so when I'm done, this man kept my message on read, I still chatted him up again and again, he still kept my message on read. Yes, I have a story to tell. I had applied for jobs and one sent me an invitation for a follow up interview. Since this was the second call, I was confident that I had the job, so I went to bend down select, OK, to pick some cooperate trousers and blazer jackets.

I washed them and ironed the one I thought was best suited for the interview. I got there early and cheerfully walked up the stairs. There was a big mirror by the corridor, right before the door, I looked to take a glance, that was when I saw it, my trouser had started tearing from one side. Oh, my God. I was like noooo

I hurried back to the ground floor, there was a dry cleaning center there, so I begged the sales girl if she had needle and thread, she was hesitant at first and then have me a rusted needle, at that point, I was ready to use broom stick sef to sew the trouser so I gladly accepted, entered their toilet and sewed my trouser. Then proceeded to the office like nothing happened... I was just saying "thank you Jesus for that mirror“.

I got the job but couldn't keep it because I couldn't balance it with my responsibility as a mum. Anyways what I learnt from that experience was, do not wear a cloth for the first time to an interview, ESPECIALLY if it's okrika.

so I'm a student at the start of the pandemic I decided to get a job to support my online Hussle
then.... and coincidentally tgis new mall or large supermarket open just arround my side after much self persuasion I decided to give it a shot.

I got there and I said even if it cleaner.... I no dey fear Hussle .... the dude I met was like a slot is open for messenger and cleaner and the pay they mentioned wasn't all that bad...

I was cool with it that how he said I should come the next day to talk to HR well

the next day I was ready I dressed well you won't know it was cleaner job I was going for....

On my way out, clouds gathered from nowhere ...I was like Normal .. I live up north ...breeze would just blow and then small drizzle ...
I took bike cause I was running late
mid way just at the roundabout it started dropping... I said to myself I could still make at that same close to the roundabout I don't know if it was a lorry breakdown or accident ... we just hook there
to make it worse the rain started ...

I just left the bike guy to find cover Las Las when I got there. I was dripping wet, head to toe
the look on their faces and eyah I was hearing made me feel pitied which I hate .... I dried up halfway then went into the office. the mean HR lady look said it all...she was actually nice after few chit chat


she said she would call me when I would start work I was still not sure they collected everything phone number maybe even my Nairaland Monika

Thats why I no dey go any old students reunion. Na just congregation of monitors to monitor who don make am and who never make am. They will tell you nonsense like reunion is an avenue to help one another but I know plenty of my guys when dey roast nobody don help them.
