You bought a recycled sim card, the reason for the negative balance is because the account is an overdraft account. If you haven't distributed the phone number to people i will advice you visit your service provider and get another sim card, tell your service provider you are uncomfortable with that line.

First bank and their illegal deductions. Please who knows how much First bank charges for the insuance of cheque book for a Domiciliary account?

The guy/lady who previously own the sim probably dumped it since he has lots of debts and his/her debtors kept calling him/her.

(S)He most probably changed his/her physical address too.

MTN will produce another sim and allocate the number to another customer after months of inactivity.

First Bank on its part is a useless bank that is largely irresponsible and I probably will not want to pay them back when considering how they deducted my hard earned money during a failed transaction in April and refused to refund till date.

CBN is more useless. I mailed them asking them to prompt First Bank to pay me back but they did not even reply till date.

Nothing works in Nigeria except corruption and nepotism.

How about this, is it nddc that sent this or scanners looking for prey to fall victim? I don't bother responding cos I know things ain't right.
