You might have been told you can live your life anyhow you like because you're no longer under the law! You believed their misinterpretation and followed their word and step. You do all bad and wrong things at will claiming grace's got you covered.

You're not under the law when the HOLY SPIRIT comes into you to teach and make you know to avoid whatever will bring you under condemnation of the law. Not that you will keep breaking the laws gallantly still claiming you're no longer under the law. Don't misquote the Bible.

There must be a difference between you and the world. If there is no difference, then you're still of the world but just among the fold of CHRIST JESUS.

Be a serious Christian, not an unserious one.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John:2:15-17

GOD is love, but that does not mean you should take his love for granted because just as he revealed his salvation, he also manifested his judgments.

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Ephesians:5:2-8

You're free to say this isn't what JESUS CHRIST said, but look, the Word of GOD remains the same.
