After the 8-2 hammering by Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16, fans all over the world were left in shock, not the shock that Barcelona lost, but the way and manner they did. Having been knocked out by Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Roma and Liverpool in four consecutive UCL seasons, it was then expected from most football fans(except Barca/Messi fans anyway) that Barcelona didn’t stand a chance of qualifying against Bayern, a thought that would be frowned at few seasons ago.

This obviously brings to light the degrade in quality of the club both on and off the pitch, with little optimism on whether we could again see the top quality we know the club for. Where and how did things suddenly go wrong at Barcelona? How did the once feared Barcelona team lose steel and finesse to win big games?
