We talk a lot about food price inflation being a major problem in Nigeria, and while many Nigerians appear to have some appreciation of the issue, I am not sure that most people in the country really understand how bad things are. The latest figures mean that a loaf of bread which costs ₦100 today, will go for ₦115 in a year’s time. Or remain at ₦100, but with reduced quality. This is painful If we continue on this trajectory and get another 1000% increase over the next 20 years, in 2040 a 50kg bag of Rice will cost ₦260,000. If you think it is impossible, think of the following prices from 1980: Nigeria Airways flight, Lagos to Port Harcourt, ₦28; brand new Peugeot 504, ₦6,000, and the cost of a bottle of Coca-Cola was 10 kobo. By 1986, the cost of a plane ticket from Lagos to New York and back was ₦17,430. Right now, a ₦20 note is almost impossible to find, and most Nigerians have forgotten what a coin looks like. And The Salary Received in 1980 didn't increase by 1000% If you have a business website get traffic flowing from Google.. chat up now 25 Likes 1 Share |

Even though Borrowhari regime has destroyed the economy......... hallelujah, daz war my song will b, daz war my song will b.......... when i look and see Borrowhari regime has destroyed Nigerian currency and $1 = N470......... hallelujah, daz war my song will b, daz war my song will be.......... Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of the most evil and useless government known to mankind, Borrowhari regime, I shall fear no evil because God is with me, greater is He that is in me than the legions of evil in the Borrowhari regime. When Borrowhari regime says there's a casting down, I will say there is a lifting up, because i have made the Lord my refuge, even the God of Jacob my fortress and they that dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the PROVISIONS of the Almighty........... The increase in cost food now in Nigeria is alarming, actually the increase in price food is not from the farmer who produce the food, there alot of middle men who deliberately increase the price at will. There should be a government controling the activities of the middle men 3 Likes |

The South needs to go into agriculture, it should not be a northern thing, if there's over supply the price will naturally fall. 7 Likes |
